Employee Ownership
The not-so-secret secret to our success.
Alamon has had a strong track record since it was founded in 1975, but becoming an ESOP (employee-owned corporation) over a decade ago was transformative. It directly contributed to our growth, changed our culture, and enhanced our ability to serve customers.
After more than a decade as an ESOP, Alamon’s employee-ownership culture is a powerful difference-maker that separates us from our competitors.
With a financially meaningful ownership stake established (75% of company value is owned by non-management staff), Alamon employees are fully engaged and think and behave like the owners they are.
Our emphasis on the importance of “acting like employee-owners” is reinforced by continual ownership education from executive leadership, and open discussions about ideas for improving company performance.
Our sustained growth and share price increases are strong indicators of how beneficial the ESOP has been for Alamon.
Being an employee-owner at Alamon means being highly informed about the company, the industries we serve, and taking ownership of the decisions made to move the company forward.
With a financially meaningful ownership stake established (75% of company value is owned by non-management staff), Alamon employees are fully engaged and think and behave like the owners they are.
As an ESOP, we all have a lot riding on every project, and we know it. Pride of workmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction scores are our hallmark as a result.
We are a driven, creative, goal-oriented group. We foster an environment of competition, personal growth and opportunity for advancement, while insisting on accountability in all phases of our business.
Alamon’s Leadership Team, led by President Brad Cronk, is keenly focused on all aspects of the ESOP, and is on a mission to ensure that it delivers the opportunity for employees to create meaningful retirement income.
“Everyone here has heard me say it a lot, but I feel very strongly about this,” Cronk says. “There is no better way for an average person to build wealth for their retirement than an ESOP.”
