We are very pleased to honor two outstanding employee-owners with our ESOP All-Star of the Month award for November 2023: Bernadette Buffi and Amanda Staggs. Both have had a huge impact on the Utility East department. Operations Manager Matthew Warner explains:

Bernadette Buffi:

Bernadette has provided outstanding support for Utility East when we needed her most. She has made our invoicing process seamless and stays on top of all of it. She has received high praise from key customers National Grid, Avangrid and ConEd. Bernadette has also been an invaluable resource by developing reports and trackers that I rely on. These data tools have enabled me to better understand the department’s productivity, profitability and historical data in order to develop proposals and bids with complete confidence.

Amanda Staggs:

Amanda has been a tremendous supporter of Utility East, especially in the last nine months. When I first took over the Operations Manager two years ago, Amanda used her decades of experience in operations management to help with the transition. In the spring of 2023, she led the charge again. She not only took on many of the weekly administrative tasks for the department, she was the primary point person who vetted applicants for our future Utility East Administrative Assistant. Once we hired our new Admin, Carley Vossler, Amanda became lead trainer and quickly got Carley up to speed on Alamon’s processes.

Bernadette and Amanda exemplify what it means to be team players. Thank you both for your commitment to excellence!
