SUPPORTING ALAMON OPERATIONS
Human Resources supports Operations in a variety of important ways.
Recruitment and Hiring
The foundation of any successful organization is great employees. The HR team is responsible for attracting, recruiting, and selecting qualified candidates to fill job positions. This involves communicating with Operations to assess their personnel needs, then creating job descriptions, advertising job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and ensuring that the best-fit candidates are hired. Effective recruitment and hiring processes are crucial for building a talented and competent workforce.
Employee Onboarding and Training
So you’ve hired great employees… you’re done, right? No, the work is just beginning. The HR team welcomes new employees to the organization and facilitates their smooth integration. They handle the onboarding process, which includes completing paperwork, conducting orientation programs, explaining company policies and procedures, and providing necessary training.
Employee Relations
Effective management of people is a key skill of the HR team. HR acts as a bridge between management and employees, promoting healthy working relationships. They address employee concerns, grievances and conflicts, ensuring fair treatment and providing resolutions when needed. HR educates everyone within the organization about healthy communication and conflict resolution, which fosters a positive work environment and promotes high employee morale.
Policy Development and Compliance
The HR team develops and implements company policies, procedures, and practices that align with legal requirements and industry standards. They ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and labor practices, minimizing the risk of legal issues. HR departments also handle matters related to employee benefits, compensation, and leave policies.
Employee Engagement and Retention
The Alamon HR team does all the tasks listed above very well, which increases employee engagement and retention. HR has a big responsibility to communicate clearly with new employees, and to foster a healthy company culture that makes Alamon a rewarding and desirable place to work. High employee engagement and satisfaction is the goal. It’s good for employees and good for the company.
