Pratt and Anunson have both been in license acquisition mode this year. In addition to testing for and securing the electrical licenses in Texas and California mentioned above, Pratt also landed the electrical licenses needed for work in Nevada and Idaho.
Meanwhile, Anunson (who is also Alamon’s Utility West Operations Manager) recently passed California’s A-General Engineering test. The license will be issued soon.
Anunson came to Alamon two years ago to run the Utility West division, but has an extensive background in Civil Construction that will be invaluable as Alamon builds its Energy Services capabilities.
Pratt provides a much-needed resource for the various electrical needs of all the Alamon divisions, which keeps the profit from that work in-house. He is instrumental in the company’s goal of growing its opportunities in the renewable energy sector.
Does that involve more licensing tests?
“Yes,” Pratt says. “We’re focused on the southwestern U.S., and will pursue Utah, Wyoming and Colorado.”
