John Schaffer

John SchaeferJohn Schaffer grew up in rural Kansas, where his earliest exposure to infrastructure work came from riding along with his father, a Journeyman Lineman for Midwest Energy. As a kid and teenager, John served as his dad’s “gopher” on after-hours service calls—tamping ground for pole sets, helping replace fuses on power lines, and even learning to safely operate a bucket truck under close supervision. Time spent at the local warehouse, cleaning vehicles and absorbing the camaraderie and discipline of the crew, instilled in him a lifelong respect for hands-on work and community service.

That foundation launched a 20+ year career spanning field operations, network engineering, and strategic sales leadership. Notably, John served as a Network Engineer within Deloitte’s elite Network Services group—one of just five team members responsible for all U.S. office deployments across a 100,000-person organization. He led low-voltage architecture planning, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and IDF/MDF buildouts, collaborating directly with general contractors and low-voltage teams to ensure seamless execution of new builds and office refreshes nationwide.

Since then, John has helped relaunch a $200M GPO at T-Mobile post-Sprint merger and developed high-impact partner ecosystems with AWS, Telarus, Ingram Micro, and ServiceNow. His expertise spans go-to-market strategy, co-sell enablement, and revenue operations across both startups and Fortune 500s.

Now part of Alamon’s Enterprise Technical Services division, John brings a rare combination of field-grounded experience and executive-level growth strategy. He’s excited to help expand ETS services nationwide and contribute to Alamon’s strong legacy of quality, safety, and performance.
